Naked Green & Blue Tweed Using the OPI Color Paints!

Hey guys! Today I have some tweed nails over my naked nails to share!

School has been a little busy again lately, but I'm going to try and get back to posting once a day! I'm really excited for Halloween because I'm going to be Colombia from Rocky Horror Picture Show! I think by then I'll be pretty much over my cold which will be very lovely!

Today's post will be pretty brief, so let's get onto it!

Naked Green & Blue Tweed Using the OPI Color Paints

After a coat of base coat (Orly Bonder) I went in with three of the OPI Color Paints and a thin striper brush!

I used Landscape Artist, Turquoise Aesthetic and Indigo Motif!

Fall Stained Glass Using the OPI Color Paints!

Hey everyone! Today I have some jewel-toned stained glass nails to share!

I am almost falling asleep as I write this with my kitty Paul laying with my arm around him and his head on my chest. He's the nicest kitty we've ever had and he especially loves me which makes me feel so special! He's drifting in and out of sleep and soon I will be too. It's going to be an early night!

Onto the nails!

I started off with a black lattice using American Apparel Hassid and a striper brush. I'm really into this design lately and I think it turns out better each time!

Fall Stained Glass Using the OPI Color Paints

Next, I went in with five of the OPI Color Paints (Landscape Artist, Turquoise Aesthetic, Indigo Motif, Purple Perspective and Magenta Muse) on a small paintbrush.

That's about all I can think to say about this look in my tired and sick-feeling state, other than the fact that I love these! What do you guys think of them?

Thanks so much for having a look guys! I'll be back with a vampy dry marble tomorrow! Happy Tuesday! =)

Blue Sheer Marble with Peach Curved Lines Featuring Some OPI Color Paints!

Hey everybody! Today I have some blue marble nails with peach accents to share!

So I survived another eight and a half hours of classes and labs with no breaks today! I'm honestly worried I won't survive one of these crazy Mondays this year. My immunology midterm went really well and now I'm just so glad to be home and in bed. We raced over to the polling station after school and I made it in time to vote! So I guess today was pretty successful but after not sleeping well last night and being out for so long today I don't feel so great. Tomorrow I'm sure I will though!

Onto the nails!

I started off like I did for my rainbow marble nails, stippling on blobs of colour and allowing them to overlap. I used OPI Turquoise Aesthetic, Indigo Motif and Revlon Royal.

Next, I went in with OPI Where Did Suzi's Man-Go? and a striper brush.

What do you guys think of these nails? I quite liked them and I love the colour combination!

OPI Color Paints Rainbow Horizontal Gradient!

Hey everyone! Today I have a super easy rainbow horizontal gradient using the OPI Color Paints to share!

I have an immunology midterm tomorrow so today will probably be spent curled up in my bed studying and cuddling my cat Paul. He always supports me when I'm studying, to the point where the day after I'm done studying he'll still be in my room all day! He's such a cutie.

Onto the nails!

OPI Color Paints Rainbow Horizontal Gradient

Because I had eight colours, I needed to have three nails with two colours and two with three colours. I decided to go with the traditional accent nails; the thumb and ring finger.

OPI Color Paints Rainbow Horizontal Gradient

I went in with the first colour for most of the nails and the first and last colour for the accent nails. After allowing that to dry, I went in with the last and middle colours, creating the overlap.

OPI Color Paints Rainbow Horizontal Gradient

Though these nails did turn out a bit cool, I'd prefer them if I had have done a proper gradient with a sponge.

So, what do you guys think? If you're not yet convinced that the Color Paints are amazing I have more looks featuring them coming at you!

Thanks so much for having a look everyone! I'll be back with a few different marbled looks! Happy Sunday! =)

Squishy Rainbow Marble Using the OPI Color Paints & A Mint and Lilac Look On Top!

Hey everyone! Today I have some super fun rainbow marble nails as well as a mint and lilac look I did on top to share!

Rather than talk a lot about my plan to start posting on here once a day, I'll just try and do it! School has been quite crazy but it has calmed down a little and I'm starting to get used to the workload. So let's get onto the many pictures and the details!

Squishy Rainbow Marble Using the OPI Color Paints (Magenta Muse, Primarily Yellow and Turquoise Aesthetic) & A Mint and Lilac Look On Top

I fell madly in love with the idea of the OPI Color Paints, and once a good review of them came out I was ecstatic! They are definitely amazing (hence why I picked up the rest after I bought the three I used here :P).

Squishy Rainbow Marble Using the OPI Color Paints (Magenta Muse, Primarily Yellow and Turquoise Aesthetic) & A Mint and Lilac Look On Top

I decided to buy the three colours closest to the real primary colours (magenta, yellow and cyan) at first in case I wouldn't have the money to buy them all. They blend together so beautifully as you can see!

Squishy Rainbow Marble Using the OPI Color Paints (Magenta Muse, Primarily Yellow and Turquoise Aesthetic) & A Mint and Lilac Look On Top

For this look I just stippled blobs of each colour (Magenta Muse, Primarily Yellow and Turquoise Aesthetic) in with a small paintbrush, making sure the blobs overlapped.

Squishy Rainbow Marble Using the OPI Color Paints (Magenta Muse, Primarily Yellow and Turquoise Aesthetic) & A Mint and Lilac Look On Top

I'm all about the sheer or partially naked nail look as you likely know, so I loved the sheer and squishy look of these!

Squishy Rainbow Marble Using the OPI Color Paints (Magenta Muse, Primarily Yellow and Turquoise Aesthetic) & A Mint and Lilac Look On Top

They kind of looked like the coolest candies that could ever exist.

I'm also all about challenging myself to recycle manis for the WNAC (Weekly Nail Art Challenge) 2015 so here's what I came up with for the mint and lilac prompt!

Squishy Rainbow Marble Using the OPI Color Paints (Magenta Muse, Primarily Yellow and Turquoise Aesthetic) & A Mint and Lilac Look On Top

I think I've used striping tape once or twice in my nail art life, so I decided to try some out!

These ended up quite girly but I still think they're pretty cool! I used OPI You're Such A Budapest and That's Hula-rious! I think this look as well as lots of dry marbles on Instagram have sparked my love for the technique as you'll see soon on here!

So what do you guys think of these looks? Did you like it better without the pastels on top or with? I prefer them without but I love that I got two totally different looks from the same base!

Thanks so much for taking a look you lovely people! I hope you're all doing well! I'll be back with some more Color Paints looks very soon! Happy Saturday! :)

Tooth Nail Art Featuring KBShimmer Laugh Myself Lily & piCture pOlish LakoDom!

Hello everybody! Today I have some teeth nail art to share!

I think I'll stick a little wisdom tooth removal update here seeing as these are the nails I did for the day of my surgery (and wore for several more days)! It will be two weeks since my surgery tomorrow and by now I can eat basically anything again (I am avoiding seeds and tiny things like that that could become lodged in my healing gums). For several days I was doing jaw stretching exercises and now I can open my mouth as wide as I could before. Except for sore teeth and jaw muscles occasionally (from getting used to eating hard foods again) I'm feeling back to normal!

Anyways, onto the nails!

Tooth Nail Art Featuring KBShimmer Laugh Myself Lily & piCture pOlish LakoDom

For the turquoise nails, I applied three easy coats of KBShimmer Laugh Myself Lily. It was a breeze to work with and it is so freaking pretty!

Tooth Nail Art Featuring KBShimmer Laugh Myself Lily & piCture pOlish LakoDom

For the teeth nails, I started off with a base of two coats of piCture pOlish LakoDom. By now I've learned that every piCture pOlish has a perfect formula and their brushes are so lovely too!

Tooth Nail Art Featuring KBShimmer Laugh Myself Lily & piCture pOlish LakoDom

Next, I went in with some cremes that matched some of the glitters in Laugh Myself Lily; American Apparel Rose Bowl (to me, this is a pink but to others I think it leans more orange and looks coraly), Essie Play Date (purple) and Revlon Dreamer (blue). I never did get a picture, but on my other hand I painted a huge purple tooth on one of the accent (white) nails rather than a bunch of tiny ones.

What do you lovely people think of this look? Lately I've been feeling really proud of myself because I've been incorporating lots of indie polishes into my nail art. Sometimes I start to worry that I'll never be able to use them all, but I'm sure I can if I continue to shy away from the mainstream brands and towards indie brands in my nail art!

Thanks so much for taking a look guys! I'll be back with a gorgeous thermal by Doctor Lacquer as I mentioned a few posts ago! Happy Thursday! =)

ILNP Paradox (H) Over Essie Go Overboard!

Hey everyone! Today I have a gorgeous ILNP (I Love Nail Polish) holographic ultra chrome flakie polish to share!

This post is going to be a pretty quick one because I have so many posts to get up in the next little while! Anna (my best friend who's from Switzerland) got here yesterday!!! So I'll be volunteering a lot less and shopping, eating, hanging out, etc. with Anna instead! That also means I'll have time to be more active on here which I'm excited about!

Anyways, onto the nails!

ILNP Paradox (H)

To start I applied one easy coat of Essie Go Overboard, a dark teal polish.

ILNP Paradox (H)

After that had dried I went in with a coat of the star of the show; ILNP Paradox (H). A coat of top coat and I was finished!

ILNP Paradox (H)

This polish was super easy to apply and remove! The shift in this one is really amazing. I found myself staring at my nails constantly while wearing this!

ILNP Paradox (H)

What do you guys think of ILNP or their ultra chrome flakies? I picked up four of these ones with the holographic microglitter thrown in (and none of the holo-less ones). The holographic effect is so strong that these look completely different in the Sun, which I think is really cool! I have videos of these in the Sun and the shade on my Instagram if you scroll back to about three weeks ago!

ILNP Paradox (H)

Thanks so much for taking a look everyone! I have about six more posts to get up before I'm caught up so hopefully I'll be posting on here a lot from now on! Happy Thursday guys! =)

Papaya Nail Art Featuring KBShimmer Periwinkle In Time!

Hello everybody! Today I have some papaya nails as well as a gorgeous KBShimmer polish to share!

It is the morning of my second-to-last day of school and I am so freaking excited to be finished as you may know! Now to get studying! :P I think I really need the four-month break we have from school, I've been sleeping as much as I usually do but I've still been so tired lately. The semester just needs to be over! My finals are quite spread out which is nice, but it also means I don't finish until late this month. Are you guys almost done school for the semester and are finals approaching? I'd love to know!

Onto the nails!

Papaya Nail Art Featuring KBShimmer Periwinkle In Time!

I did these nails before I nubbinized my nails as you may notice! I kind of think I cut them too short when I do this every few weeks because I can't wrap my tips without making a mess. They'll be back to this length in a few weeks anyway though! They grow so fast and I'm so lazy about cutting and/or filing them so I let them grow out and then chop them short, as you've probably noticed :P. I try to think of it as a good thing, like, whether you like short nails or long nails I'll always cycle through both!

Papaya Nail Art Featuring KBShimmer Periwinkle In Time!

For my blue/periwinkle nails, I just applied three easy coats of KBShimmer Periwinkle In Time and a coat of top coat (Essie Good to Go). The polish was really easy to work with and I got tons of the larger glitters on basically every nail except my ring finger that you see here! Some of the glitters were even holographic! This is another gorgeous KBShimmer polish with a lovely formula in my books!

Papaya Nail Art Featuring KBShimmer Periwinkle In Time!

As for the papaya nails, I started off with two coats of OPI Don't Bossa Nova Me Around. Weirdly enough, it ended up looking a lot like My Vampire is Buff when paired with the other colours, despite being a pinky putty off-white nude colour (rather than a yellow-toned off-white nude colour). Next, I went in with OPI Where Did Suzi's Man-go? and an average-sized paint brush for the meat of the papaya, followed by American Apparel Hassid and Crescent Heights on a small paintbrush for the seeds and skin, respectively. I allowed it all to dry and added a thick coat of top coat (again, Essie Good to Go) to avoid smudging my design!

Papaya Nail Art Featuring KBShimmer Periwinkle In Time!

What do you guys think of this polish or these papayas? I'd love to know in the comments!

Thanks so much for reading! Make sure you enter my giveaway if you haven't already, just click on the picture at the top of the sidebar to find the post about it! I'll be back with some purple gradient nails, probably with some nail art on top, I haven't decided yet! Happy Wednesday guys! :)

piCture pOlish Fool's Gold Swatch & Review!

Hey everyone! Today I have a swatch and review of the gorgeous piCture pOlish Fool's Gold to share!

I'm still on my reading break and loving it! It's going to be so hard to go back to school with all the labs and midterms and assignments and stuff. I especially don't want to have less free time considering all of the indie polishes I've purchased lately! I picked up 8 piCture pOlish polishes as you can see below as well as 12 KB Shimmer polishes! Because of tutoring my cousin recently, I actually had some money to spend so I was able to go crazy for two indie brands I've been drooling over for over a year!

piCture pOlish Order From Nail Polish Canada

Here is a picture of my whole Nail Polish Canada order of piCture pOlishes! Let me know if there's a particular one you'd like to see soon!

Onto the nails!

piCture pOlish Fool's Gold Swatch & Review!

This base of this polish is kind of hard for me to describe. I'd say it's between turquoise and aqua, but closer to aqua. Either way it's freaking vibrant and gorgeous! As you'll see more clearly later in the macro shot, this polish has small gold hexes and silvery flakies tossed in!

piCture pOlish Fool's Gold Swatch & Review!

Application and formula-wise this polish was a dream! I love the bottle and brush, they remind me of butter LONDON polishes. The brush is definitely smaller than an OPI one (and like I said, similar to a bL one), making it easy to control and small enough to paint my pinkies with and not require a bunch of cleanup! It was a perfect consistency to avoid flooding the cuticles and wasn't so thick that it was hard to work with!

piCture pOlish Fool's Gold Swatch & Review!

The polish seemed to dry quite quickly and when I did my thick second coat, I didn't have any problems with balding. I am still wearing this right now, and before I reshaped my nails with this on there wasn't even much tip wear! I haven't noticed and chips whatsoever either. I've been wearing it for three days so far and it's doing amazing!

piCture pOlish Fool's Gold Swatch & Review!

What you see here is one normal coat and one thick coat plus a coat of top coat (Essie Good to Go as always)! It's not quite opaque everywhere on every nail but I really don't mind. Three normal coats would get you a completely opaque look if you're more into that!

piCture pOlish Fool's Gold Swatch & Review!

What do you guys think of this polish or piCture pOlishes in general? I suspect I'm going to love every one I picked up!

Thanks so much for reading guys! Again, I'm not sure what I'll be back with on Monday but it will either involve a new indie polish, nail art or both! Hope you guys are having a good week! Happy Thursday! =)
