Springy Floral Frames Featuring Hex Nail Jewelry Charms!

Hello everyone! Today I have some floral frame nails to share!

I've been applying for jobs lately but I've yet to hear back from anyone. My boyfriend is still away for another month so I wish I could get a job to make the time go by quicker! On the plus side, I have been able to relax and do a lot of things that I like, but that does make the time seem to go by slower.

Anyways, onto the nails!

I started off with two coats of OPI My Dogsled is a Hybrid, OPI Good Grief! or American Apparel French Lilac on most of my nails. I then went in with each of those colours on a small paint brush for the accent nails.

Immediately after top coating the floral frame nails, I picked up the Hex Nail Jewelry charms with some tweezers and placed them while the top coat was still wet. After that dried, I top coated and cleaned up all my nails to complete the look.

What do you guys think of this look? I think they came out much too girly for my tastes but I love the charms that I used!

Thanks so much for having a look everyone! I'll be back with an Essie Silk Watercolor collection look soon! Happy Wednesday! =)

Lilac Nails Inspired by MrCandiipants Featuring piCture pOlish Swagger & Hex Nail Jewelry!

Hello hello my lovelies! Today I have my first proper blog post in a long time to share, inspired by a MrCandiipants design!

I am still so happy to be done with school and finals, it's great to not have to worry about! Anyways, onto the nails!

I started with two coats of piCture pOlish Swagger. The formula was amazing and it was almost opaque at one coat! For the leaves I used OPI Green-wich Village and that mixed with some Revlon Spanish Moss, and for the flowers I used OPI Hello Hawaii Ya?Essie Play Date and Essie Warm & Toasty Turtleneck.

I left one nail lilac-less on each hand to add some Hex Nail Jewelry charms. I just apply them with a bit of top coat, double top coat them and they stay right on (I wore this look for six days with no problems)!

So what do you guys think of this look? I don't love it because I didn't execute it very well. I'd like to try a look more like the MrCandiipants one, basically with better leaves/greenery!

Thanks so much for taking a look guys! I just took this look off so I have no idea what I'll be back with! Happy Saturday! :)

Navy & Purple Dry Marble with Some Hex Nail Jewelry!

Hey everyone! Today I have some dark dry marble nails to share!

Last night we went to a horror movie, and tonight we're going to a haunted house and then another horror movie! I swear I'll have a heart attack before the weekend is over!

Anyways, onto the nails!

Navy & Purple Dry Marble with Some Hex Nail Jewelry

To start, I applied one coat of American Apparel Mount Royal. On one nail at a time, I applied a second coat of Mount Royal followed by a few blobs of Sonia Kashuk Jewel Orchid right from the brush from the bottle. With a striping brush, I swirled the two colours around until it looked cool!

With some top coat, I decided to add some Hex Nail Jewelry charms because I love these things! They are reusable and I probably have close to 50 by now!

Glam Polish Coven & Hex Nail Jewelry Charms for Nail Crazy in March!

Hey everyone! Today I have some good luck charm nails for the last week of Nail Crazy In March to share!

I am currently in my last week of school until September, and I am very excited to be done for a while! Soon I'll have tons of time to blog and paint my nails, so expect more posts in the next little while!

Anyways, onto the nails!

Glam Polish Coven & Hex Nail Jewelry Charms

Firstly, I should explain my thought process behind these nails. As a student, when I think of good luck I think of exams. So I decided to put together a super quick but fancy look that I would wear to an exam for good luck!

Glam Polish Coven & Hex Nail Jewelry Charms

For any simple look, I love to throw in some Hex Nail Jewelry for extra interest and glamour! And being charms, I feel like they fit the prompt quite well!

For the red nails I applied just one coat Glam Polish Coven and a coat of top coat (Sally Hansen Insta-Dri this time). This polish dried quite textured so it would have needed another coat of top coat to be close to smooth. I had a huge bubble problem with Insta-Dri top coat once again, as you can very clearly see on my charmed nails.

Coven was so lovely to work with! It is stuffed full of holographic pigment and glitter, check out my Instagram if you'd like to see a video of it in the Sun! I'd like to wear it with two coats next time to see if the colour gets more deep or rich, because I suspect it might! I hardly had to cleanup these nails because the formula and brush were so lovely!

Dark Green Glittery Nails Featuring Hex Nail Jewelry Charms and Star Candy Polish Orion!

Hey everybody! Today I have some nails featuring some Hex Nail Jewelry and some Star Candy Polish to share!

I'm currently in my busiest week of the semester, which in a way I'm happy about because I'm getting it over with fairly early. I have lab write-ups, pre-labs, midterms and lots of tutoring to do! I'm still struggling with having the motivation to work on those things (apart from tutoring) but I'm trying to make myself work on it because I really have to. Do you guys have a lot of stuff to do this week too? Anyway, onto the nails!

I started off with two easy coats of Revlon Rain Forest, a gorgeous dark green polish with gold shimmer throughout. Then, on all of my nails except the ones I planned to put charms on, I applied one coat of Star Candy Polish Orion (I posted about it previously, here). I adhered the charms to my nails with a glob of top coat, and I applied one coat of top coat to most of my nails and two to the ones with charms (as always, Essie Good to Go).

These nails turned out a little more fancy and glamorous than I'm used to, but I found them so pretty that I didn't mind.

The studs stayed on for the duration I wore these nails for (at least two days, I'm not sure how long exactly) and weren't threatening to fall off. I really love Hex Nail Jewelry for that, their charms stay on very well!

How cool is this Sun charm? I know my right hand can't pose without looking ridiculous, I'm sorry!

What do you guys think of these nails or these charms? I'd love to know! I'll be back with some pastel gradient nails in a week that you would have seen if you follow me on Instagram! Happy Monday! :)

Snowy Nail Art Featuring Born Pretty Store Snowflake Decorations!

Hey everyone! Today I have some wintery nails featuring some Born Pretty Store snowflake charms to share!

Look at this, I'm posting for the second week in a row and keeping up with my proposed schedule! Say what? I'm even thinking of trying to get two posts in on weeks where I'm not so busy and eventually maybe two posts a week regardless. I think getting back into blogging has helped me motivation-wise already. Taking a break from here and not doing my nails wasn't taking a break, it was not doing the things I enjoy and doing things I don't enjoy like procrastinating at school and stressing myself out. Anyways! Onto the nails!

I started off with one coat of the base coat I've been using recently (Orly Bonder) and then to most of my nails I applied two coats of a lovely texture polish, OPI Solitaire. For my snow-capped nails I just used a small detailing brush (Winstonia Kolinsky Sable Brush in #000) for the white part (done with OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls) and Black Sheep Lacquer Blink straight from the bottle for the duochrome topper. For my remaining nails I applied two coats of MBSW and while the second one was still wet I applied the snowflake charms (number 8 of these, though I seemed to have a 9 thrown in as you can see in these pictures).

I ended up tripling up on top coat for the snowflake nails (as well as pushing the edges down while they dried into the white base) and the corners still came up and got caught on everything. If that doesn't bother you then these charms would work for you, but in my opinion they're only really good for pictures and not practical to wear. They are super pretty though!

I'm getting a proper soft box/light box in the mail soon and I'm really excited about it! Lighting and white balance is something I'm constantly trying to improve on and I think it will really help!

Thanks so much for taking a look everyone! What do you guys think of this look or these charms? Does it snow around this time of year where you live? Let me know in the comments!

Born Pretty Store Charm & B Squared Lacquer Purple Unicorns Review!

Hey everyone! Today I have a quick review of B Squared Lacquer Purple Unicorns and a review of a butterfly charm (link here, number 781) from Born Pretty Store to share!

I've decided to take a OPI Nail Envy break and not paint my nails for a week (or as long as I can handle)! Not to fear though, I am behind enough in posting that I have about a week's worth of posts to get up! I picked up the Nail Envy for sensitive and peeling nails today because my nails have been peeling on the sides (like hang nails) on the ends and on the nail plate due to wearing glitter polishes. I do use the foil method to remove glitters but they still get all peely and damaged :(. Like, who ever heard of peels in the middle of your nails? Ugh, my nails are so sad right now, they're even a little stained by this Sally Hansen blue that I'll be posting about soon.

B Squared Lacquer Purple Unicorns

Despite all of that I really want to be painting my nails! I've been super inspired by this salon's Instagram page called spica_nail (here is the link). You guys should seriously check them out! I've liked all of their pictures they've posted in the last few years because they're seriously all perfect. :D Anyways, onto the nails!

B Squared Lacquer Purple Unicorns

To start, I applied three easy coats of B Squared Lacquer Purple Unicorns, a gorgeous purple polish with a subtle but almost linear holographic effect and green-blue flakies. This means this polish is beautiful and interesting in any lighting! The formula was lovely just like the other polish from B Squared Lacquer I recently tried (All Aboard, link here)! As per usual, I finished it off with a coat of the top coat I still always use, Essie Good to Go!

B Squared Lacquer Purple Unicorns

Now onto the charm! The package actually comes with two charms so you can put one on each hand. I think these charms are super cute and I love that they come in mint! They also stay looking brand new as long as you clean them off and remove them using non-acetone remover (like with any charms)!

B Squared Lacquer Purple Unicorns

I wasn't really sure how I'd top coat these charms if I were to wear them. I think I'd just have to top coat around them because as you can see from the picture below, they are quite tall and stick up quite a bit! That is my only complaint about these charms; I don't know how practical they are to wear and I don't know that they'd stay on that well just because they're so big.

B Squared Lacquer Purple Unicorns
I think they'd be super fun to use while swatching for a little extra interest! What do you guys think of these charms and/or this polish? I'd love to know!

Thank you so much for reading everyone! I'll try to start posting more regularly! Happy Monday! =)
