Tooth Nail Art Featuring KBShimmer Laugh Myself Lily & piCture pOlish LakoDom!

Hello everybody! Today I have some teeth nail art to share!

I think I'll stick a little wisdom tooth removal update here seeing as these are the nails I did for the day of my surgery (and wore for several more days)! It will be two weeks since my surgery tomorrow and by now I can eat basically anything again (I am avoiding seeds and tiny things like that that could become lodged in my healing gums). For several days I was doing jaw stretching exercises and now I can open my mouth as wide as I could before. Except for sore teeth and jaw muscles occasionally (from getting used to eating hard foods again) I'm feeling back to normal!

Anyways, onto the nails!

For the turquoise nails, I applied three easy coats of KBShimmer Laugh Myself Lily. It was a breeze to work with and it is so freaking pretty!

For the teeth nails, I started off with a base of two coats of piCture pOlish LakoDom. By now I've learned that every piCture pOlish has a perfect formula and their brushes are so lovely too!

Next, I went in with some cremes that matched some of the glitters in Laugh Myself Lily; American Apparel Rose Bowl (to me, this is a pink but to others I think it leans more orange and looks coraly), Essie Play Date (purple) and Revlon Dreamer (blue). I never did get a picture, but on my other hand I painted a huge purple tooth on one of the accent (white) nails rather than a bunch of tiny ones.

What do you lovely people think of this look? Lately I've been feeling really proud of myself because I've been incorporating lots of indie polishes into my nail art. Sometimes I start to worry that I'll never be able to use them all, but I'm sure I can if I continue to shy away from the mainstream brands and towards indie brands in my nail art!

Half Moon Meets Floral Over Rainbow Honey Control!

Hey everyone! Today I have some half moon rose nails to share!

I know I haven't been posting much on here or anywhere else, but soon Anna will be here and I'll have more time for nails and posting! This month has been going by so fast since I've been so busy! I think I will write up some posts today so I can post during the week.

Onto the nails!

To start, I applied two coats of Rainbow Honey Control (swatch and review here). I then applied a coat of top coat and wore the polish alone for about a day.

Next, I went in with American Apparel Neon Yellow on a medium-sized brush, followed by AA Sunshine State on a striper brush. After that had dried, I added a quick coat of top coat and I was done!

What do you guys think of this simple look? I took these pictures in different lighting (as I'm sure you can tell) to show off the neonness!

Purple Triangle Nail Art Over Zoya Leslie!

Hey everyone! Today I have some triangle nail art to share!

All of a sudden my life has gotten extremely busy! With volunteering six hours a day, tutoring and visiting family friends I was actually out for thirteen hours straight yesterday! I don't think I've ever been this busy. I got these pictures all ready to go a few days ago and I couldn't find time to write it until this morning. So when things calm down a bit I'll have time to do new nails and blog about them! I received the Girly Bits Hoop! There It Is collection a few days ago and all I've been able to do is look at them and wish I could wear them :P.

Anyways, onto the nails!

I started off with two coats of Zoya Leslie, a gorgeous light purple with blue shimmer.

I then went in with Essie No More Film (some are dark blue but mine is dark purple) and a striping brush from Winstonia Store. My bottle of No More Film is getting old and thick, so it dried really quickly and was pretty hard to work with. I should have added some thinner first!

I quite enjoyed wearing these and I was pretty impressed that I could do such thin lines and small details this well (even with my left hand as you'll see in the last picture)!

Have you ever noticed how wrinkly your thumb knuckles are? I'm only 20 and mine look quite wrinkly! :P

I'd love to know what you guys think of this look down below! I really wish I could get a hold of Zoya's regularly in stores in my part of Canada. Sometimes they show up at a Winners or a Marshalls and I get very excited!

Polished by KPT Bleu Is Beautiful Swatch & Review!

Hey everyone! Today I have a gorgeous Polished by KPT thermal polish to share!

I found out yesterday that I may have an awesome opportunity to volunteer in a lab at my school this summer! Nothing is finalized yet but I'll let you guys know what becomes of it! I may even be doing it full time until my friend Anna gets here! I'm really freaking excited!!

Anyways, onto the many pictures!

What you see here is two easy coats and a coat of top coat! The formula was a little thicker than most polishes but I like that, and despite doing thick coats it dried down flat! So it has great self-level and all that! It also dried to a satin matte finish which was cool, but I added a coat of top coat for maximum wear.

Above is the polish at it's warmest. It has the prettiest, glowiest shimmer that looks amazing at any temperature!

And here it is at it's coldest! I personally prefer it this way because I'm a huge fan of blue!

I really loved wearing this polish because it would range from just about the lightest to just about the darkest colour and back again over and over throughout the day. It seems to have a transition temperature range well-suited for human hands, go figure! ;)

I picked up one other polish from this brand when I made my order at Harlow and Co so expect to see a light purple holo called Lady Roxane relatively soon!

Cat Emoji Nails Featuring piCture pOlish Forget Me Not!

Hey everyone! Today I have a quick post on some fun cat emoji nails to share!

My computer has completely died and been sent in for repairs since I last posted on here :P. In good news, the warranty would have expired today but it died yesterday so we sent it in just in time! I'm now commandeering one of my boyfriend's three laptops (he's into computers) and I managed to get these pictures from a backup on my external hard drive! So all in all, it's basically all good news as my computer was laggy and quite hot most of the time leading up to it completely dying.

Anyways, onto the nails!

I started off with two coats of the gorgeous piCture pOlish Forget Me Not and a coat of top coat.

The formula, the brush, the dry time... everything about this polish is perfection. And oh my goodness, it's absolutely drop dead gorgeous. Also, you could probably get away with one coat with this baby.

This is the second polish I've tried from this brand and I'm already head over heels in love!

See those flakies? Well guess what, they're holographic flakies!!

And here are the kitties! I'll embed my Instagram tutorial for this look down below in case you guys are interested!

As for the polishes, I used American Apparel T-shirt (white), Revlon Timeless (light grey), American Apparel 7th and Alameda (medium/dark grey), American Apparel Hassid (black), American Apparel Rose Bowl (pink), OPI Red Hot Rio (red) and Julep Claire (blue).

Here is the little guy I did with my non-dominant (left) hand. I feel like he came out kind of funny but also quite good considering it was with my bad hand!

Half Moon Heart Nail Art Featuring Tiny Triangle Studs and a Born Pretty Store Review!

Hello everyone! Today I have some half moon heart nail art and a Born Pretty Store stud review to share!

Hey look, I tricked you (and myself) because I thought I'd be back with some blue or green nails! I love blue and green so much and since it feels like it has been long enough since I last posted some, doing these nails really did feel like a trick or surprise to me! Sometimes a palate cleanser like this is nice; a mauve and white combo like this feels so fresh and lady-like. By the way, if you guys ever have a certain kind of nail art or polish you'd like to see on here you should let me know! Sometimes I struggle with ideas for nail art so I'd be happy to have a suggestion to work off of!

Anyways, onto the nails!

For this look I started off with two coats of OPI Just Lanai-ing Around and a coat of top coat. As usual for me lately, I wore this polish plain for a while before I added to it. The next day, I went in with two coats of Black Sheep Lacquer Scatter Heart (which I swatched a while ago here) in a top-of-a-heart-like shape. I then decided to add a contrasting line between the base and Scatter Heart with Contrary Polish The Boulevard (which I still haven't swatched or worn on its own, gasp!).

Because I remembered that I still had one more nail art thing from BPS to review, and because I figured it would go with the gold glitter in Scatter Heart, I went ahead and added these adorable triangle studs (B2 of these) to this look! They feel like they'll really stay put as they come down at the edges, and they were super easy to use! I feel like these are the most "me" nail art things I've ever picked to review from BPS so the shopper/hoarder in me wants to pick more up (specifically all six of the small ones on that page :P).

By the way, the lines and heart-top things here are pretty wonky because I filmed a video tutorial for this look. Unfortunately though, I can't find the video files. I filmed it through Canon EOS Utility 2, does anyone have any experience with that program? The camera did die while I was in between filming and I haven't plugged the whole camera back in to my computer to look for them (just the SD card) so maybe there still is hope!

What do you guys think of these nails or these studs in particular? I think they're my favourite things I've ever reviewed from BPS!

Groovy Purple & Green Nail Art Featuring a Born Pretty Store Iridescent Rhinestone Review!

Hey everyone! Today I have some groovy nails and a review of some Born Pretty Store rhinestone-like studs to share!

I'm currently on my hour-long bus ride home writing this post! Our reading break is over so I'm on my way home from my first day of school in a while. The break made me so excited for the end of the semester and my four month summer! My friend Anna (who my sister and I visited last summer in Switzerland) will be coming here for three of those months! I'm so freaking excited! Basically I'm just dreaming about being done school for a while. I know I will be tonight while I'm writing up a huge inorganic lab report! :P

Anyways, onto the nails!

I used a whole lotta polish for this look; Essie DJ Play that Song (purple base, two coats), Deborah Lippmann Shoshanna (light purple), Rainbow Honey Shark Attack (blue jelly with glitter, on top of Shoshanna), OPI My Dogsled is a Hybrid (green) and Black Sheep Lacquer Lorelei (clear-based glitter, on top of MDiaH). For Shoshanna and Shark Attack I just used the brushes from the bottle, but for MDiaH and Lorelei I used a small paintbrush.

I applied a coat of top coat (Essie Good to Go) and left it alone for a day. The next day, I realized I still had some nail art stuff to review from Born Pretty Store and I decided the 2mm green ones of these* would go perfectly with this look! I smeared some top coat where I wanted to put the rhinestones and just picked them up with tweezers and stuck them in. I then applied one more coat of top coat on those nails and I was done!

I think these studs are really cool looking due to their iridescent finish and they were really easy to use! I think the layer of top coat on top made it so you could only see them flash yellow or orange, but they still look really cool! They have stayed on perfectly so far, and I've been wearing them for a day doing student-like things including taking books and other things in and out of my bag! As long as you like the look of these, I see all pros and no cons!

What do you guys think of these nails or these rhinestones? I'm not so sure about the nails, I think they might be getting too long and they're a bit too glittery for my liking. I'd love to know what you guys think the comments!

My microbiology lab teacher commented on these today and said I had really pretty nails, which totally made my day! I think I do like them but they're just not really my style.
