Another MrCandiipants Spring Floral Featuring Renaissance Cosmetics Tiny Petals Everywhere!

Hey everyone! Today I have a MrCandiipants floral design and a Renaissance Cosmetics polish to share!

Some way or another, almost every mani I do goes up on my Instagram way before it makes it here. This look is a rare exception because I didn't do it for a WNAC prompt and didn't just post it for fun!

Onto the nails!

To start, I applied two coats of Cirque Carpe Diem on most of my nails. On my other nails I applied just two easy coats of Renaissance Cosmetics Tiny Petals Everywhere! Funnily enough I needed three coats on my dominant hand but only two on my non-dominant hand (almost certainly because my non-dominant hand isn't so great at painting my dominant hand).

As I do lately, I decided to do some nail art to match the glitters in this indie polish! I did the famous spring floral design by MrCandiipants using American Apparel African Violet (purple), Girly Bits Cosmetics I've Got High Hoops (blue), American Apparel Rose Bowl (pink/coral) and American Apparel 7th and Alameda (grey).

Tiny Petals Everywhere had a great formula and was so easy to work with! I'm finding all Renaissance Cosmetics polishes to be absolutely amazing!

What do you guys think of this look or this adorable indie polish? I'm loving both! Also, I'm bringing back the pictures of my dominant hand because it's always fun to see how it turns out compared to the other one!

Thanks so much for taking a look everyone! I'll be back with some dare-I-say sexy black lace nails! Happy Friday everybody! =)

Raspberries Over a Sponged Yellow Base Featuring Girly Bits These Hips Don't Lie!

Hey everyone! Today I have some fun raspberry nails to share!

This post will be a bit of a quick one because I think I'll try and get a few more written while the motivation is flowing! I did this look a little over three weeks ago, so naturally my nails are crazy long now. I'm at the point that I feel they're too long but too lazy to cut and file them. That means I'll be doing a big chop pretty soon! :P

Onto the nails!

Raspberries Over a Sponged Yellow Base Featuring Girly Bits These Hips Don't Lie

To start, I applied two coats of Cirque Carpe Diem (a white creme) and allowed it to dry. I then painted random blobs of Girly Bits These Hips Don't Lie (yellow) and American Apparel Neon Orange (yellow-orange) onto a damp sponge and got to sponging!

After a while, I decided what I wanted to do and went in with a dotting tool and Essie Plumbery. Next, I went in with the same dotting tool and Deborah Lippmann Jessa for the darker (inner) raspberry colour.

I then decided to try a Kiko polish I picked up in Germany last summer for the leaves and stem. I used a small detail brush and Kiko Meadow Green!

At first I thought the two different yellows of the base weren't showing up in pictures but I'm glad to see they kind of did!

What do you guys think of this look or yellow nails in general? I'm really loving yellow lately and I have another look featuring yellow that I'll be posting soon!

Thanks so much for having a look everyone! I'll be back with a third go at the MrCandiipants spring floral design (on myself; I've done it several times on others as well)! Happy Tuesday guys! =)

Blue & Green Negative Space Dry Brush Gradient Featuring Girly Bits I've Got High Hoops!

Hi everyone! Today I have my second dry brush look I've ever done to share (first one here)!

Thank you guys so much for the lovely comments on my last post, they really mean a lot. I'm so behind in posting on social media and responding to comments but I will really try to get caught up soon!

In case you were wondering, the big change I was talking about was that my boyfriend and I broke up. We dated for almost three and a half years, all through my college and university life (so far) and starting near the end of grade twelve. I know it was for the best, however, so I know I'll be okay.

Serious stuff aside, onto the nails!

I never write about the fact that I always start with a coat of base coat (Orly Bonder) but I do! I always mention the top coat I use (Essie Good To Go) so it's only fair to start talking about my favourite base coat!

Next, I went in with American Apparel Mount Royal (dark blue seen in the bottle shot below), OPI Green-wich Village (sheer green), Girly Bits I've Got High Hoops (medium brighter blue) and American Apparel Malibu Green (teal) in that order. I wiped most of the polish off of the brush before swiping horizontally and vertically across my nail with each colour.

After a bit of dry time I added a coat of my trusty Essie Good To Go and I was finished!

These also felt quite salon-y to me as well as very beach/ocean inspired! I liked wearing these quite a lot, though they did chip quite fast. I think that happens more easily when the layer of polish is thinner so I wasn't too surprised. I was also happy to create a dry brush look that I liked because I'm generally not a fan of the way this technique looks.

What do you guys think of this look or the dry brush technique in general? I'd love to know!

Thanks for having a look guys! I'll be back with a water marble look followed by some raspberry nail art! Happy Wednesday! :)

Coral and Orange Lattice Featuring Girly Bits Hoop! There It Is

Hey everyone! Today I have a recreation of a gorgeous design by The Nail Artiste to share!

Today's post will be a quick one with lots of pictures! I had my wisdom teeth out six days ago so I'm definitely still recovering. I want to jump back into blogging just about once a day so let's get into it!

Coral and Orange Lattice Featuring Girly Bits Hoop! There It Is

To start, I applied two coats of American Apparel Sandstorm and allowed it to dry. Next, I went in with a fairly large paintbrush and either Girly Bits Hoop! There It Is (pinker neon) or Sonia Kashuk Sunset Bvld (orange creme) depending on the nail. Some top coat (Essie Good to Go) and I was done!

For the first time in a while I remembered to photograph my right hand! I reversed the colours which I think looks really cool with index and middle finger accent nails.

So what do you guys think of this look? I'd love to know! I liked these but the colours didn't really feel 'me'.

Thanks so much for taking a look everyone! I'll be back with one more long nail look and then we'll be into looks done on my new nubs! Happy Thursday guys!

Wheat At Sunset Nail Art Inspired by Chalkboard Nails Featuring Some Girly Bits Hoop! There It Is Collection Polishes (Duh!)!

Yo yo yo my lovely people! Today I have a look inspired by the lovely Sarah of Chalkboard Nails to share!

It just dawned on me that in less than two days I'll be going into surgery to get my wisdom teeth out. It really has been like summer over here because I didn't know we were this close to Friday already! Have any of you guys had your wisdom teeth out? I'd love to hear your tips or stories, good or bad! Both of my bottom ones are sitting right against this artery and nerve bundle so if my surgeon cuts or bruises the nerve(s) I will lose feeling in the lips, chin and cheek on that side. He seems confident about removing them now that we did this cool cone beam CT scan and we found out they're on the tongue side. Anyways, I'm not very worried about that, just the eating only soft foods for a few weeks and having to crush up T3's and probably taste them (I can't swallow pills).

This is turning into a long post word-wise so... onto the nails!

Wheat At Sunset Nail Art Inspired by Chalkboard Nails Featuring Some Girly Bits Hoop! There It Is Collection Polishes (Duh!)!

To start, I applied two coats of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls and allowed it to dry. I then painted two coats of liquid latex around my nails for easier clean up, or so I thought. The liquid latex peeled off in tiny pieces and was terrible to work with, much like the previous time I used it. Since purchasing Simply Peel I will never battle with that stupid liquid latex again. Ana formulated Simply Peel herself and it is a liquid latex product that works amazingly! In one thin coat it works infinitely better than any liquid latex I could have imagined after using that other stuff!

Next, I went in with Girly Bits Hip Hoop Hurray! (the pinker purple that I'm holding in the picture below) and Girly Bits Get Indie Flow (the blue-toned purple on most of my nail) on a damp sponge. After three to four layers of sponging I applied a coat of top coat to blend the colours further.

Finally, I went in with American Apparel Hassid and a striping brush for the funky-looking wheat. An additional coat of top coat and a bit of clean up and I was done!

I absolutely loved wearing these nails and looking at these pictures now, I'm still madly in love with the design! What do you guys think of this look? I'd love to know!

Rainbow Water Marble Using the Girly Bits Hoop! There It Is Collection!

Yo yo yo my lovely people! Today I have some rainbow water marble nails to share!

This is another late night post because I'm really trying to post often but I seem to be quite busy in the day. Let's hop right in because there are a lot of pictures!

Rainbow Water Marble Using the Girly Bits Hoop! There It Is Collection

I started off with two coats of My Boyfriend Scales Walls for a white base. I then went in with Simply Peel Liquid Latex Barrier and applied a thin coat all around my nails up to my first knuckle.

Rainbow Water Marble Using the Girly Bits Hoop! There It Is Collection

Next, I used Thump Your Melons (orange), These Hips Don't Lie (yellow), It's Hoop To Be Square (green), I've Got High Hoops (blue), Hip Hoop Hurray (purple) and You're My Hooper Hero (pink) for the water marble. I could be wrong about a few of those though because it has been a while!

Rainbow Water Marble Using the Girly Bits Hoop! There It Is Collection

After peeling off the Simply Peel and more clean up, I applied a coat of top coat.

Rainbow Water Marble Using the Girly Bits Hoop! There It Is Collection

I think I wore these for about five days and I quite enjoyed doing so! These polishes water marbled very well and I will definitely try this again with a different design!

Rainbow Water Marble Using the Girly Bits Hoop! There It Is Collection

I actually preferred how my right hand came out this time (above). What do you guys think?

What do you think about water marbles in general or this lovely collection I keep using? I'd love to know!

Abstract Fishtail Gradient Using the Girly Bits Hoop! There It Is Collection!

Hey everyone! Today I have a fun abstract fishtail gradient look to share using four of the Girly Bits Cosmetics Hoop! There It Is collection polishes!

Life at my house has been really fun and relaxing lately. We've been doing yoga, going to fairs, concerts, lakes, etc. It really does feel like summer and for a few days it was 30 degrees Celsius or hotter! But as a heat-intolerant person I definitely get grumpy in that kind of weather :P. What have you guys been up to lately? Are you out of school for the summer like I am? I made up my class schedules for the fall and spring semesters a few days ago and it seems so weird that I'll be taking mainly fourth year classes!

Anyways, onto the nails!

Abstract Fishtail Gradient Using the Girly Bits Hoop! There It Is Collection

To start, I applied three coats of Thump Your Melons and a coat of top coat. Next, I went in with I've Got High Hoops (blue), Get Indie Flow (purple) and You're My Hooper Hero (pink) on a nail art brush. I actually never top coated the lines so they had a cool 3-D look!

Abstract Fishtail Gradient Using the Girly Bits Hoop! There It Is Collection

These were super quick to do and fun to wear! I feel like I'm not that great at coming up with new designs so I was impressed that I came up with this!

Abstract Fishtail Gradient Using the Girly Bits Hoop! There It Is Collection

What do you guys think of this look? I'm becoming quite a fan of orange lately so I'm loving it!

Thanks so much for taking a look everyone! I'm going to try and find the time to post once a day until I'm caught up because I still have six looks to get up here! Happy Wednesday guys! =)

Girly Bits Cosmetics Hoop! There It Is Collection Swatch & Review!

Hey everyone! Today I have swatches of the Girly Bits Hoop! There It Is collection to share!

All of the swatches are without top coat except for the glitter topper; You Spin Me Round. Excuse my peely nail beds in some of the pictures (I really should have just used top coat)! I would describe the polishes as crellies for the most part, though a few are definitely cremes. I'll try to describe their true colours because as we all know, photographing neons accurately is a major challenge!

I had no issues with the formula so all of the polishes were lovely to use! The cremes/crellies all dried down to a satin finish which is always cool!

Girly Bits Hoop! There It Is collection

Here is a picture of the collection taken with my phone. Sadly, my phone does a way better job at capturing the colours accurately than my sister's Canon Rebel that I use for pictures. I would say these colours are all very accurate except for the middle pink, You're My Hooper Hero, as it is more orange-toned in real life.

Onto the swatches!

Girly Bits Hoop! There It Is

First up we have the collection's namesake; Hoop! There It Is! It is a neon coral polish that is a tad more orange and even more bright in person! Shown here is two coats!

Girly Bits These Hips Don't Lie

Next up we have These Hips Don't Lie! THDL is a highlighter yellow polish that is brighter and a little bit more green in person. I used three coats for the opacity you see here!

Girly Bits Hooperchondriac

Here we have Hooperchondriac, a neon yellow-toned green polish. This one is showing up way too pale and not yellow-toned enough in these pictures. Shown here is three coats!

Girly Bits Hip Hoop Hurray!

Next we have Hip Hoop Hurray!, a warm-toned purple! This picture is bang-on colour-wise except for the fact that it is a little darker in person. This was two coats!

Girly Bits You're My Hooper Hero

Here we have You're My Hooper Hero, a bright warm-toned pink shade! Again, this one is a little more orange than either cameras would like to capture. Shown is three coats!

Girly Bits Don't Paddle Break A Nail

Here we have Don't Paddle Break A Nail, a cool-toned pink. This one is a little darker in person and this was two coats!

Girly Bits I've Got High Hoops

Next up we have I've Got High Hoops, a medium blue! This one looks pretty good except it's a bit darker and a smidge less purple in person. Shown is two coats!

Girly Bits It's Hoop To Be Square

Here we have three coats of It's Hoop To Be Square, a pale yellow-toned green ! This one is looking a little too pale and maybe the tiniest bit more yellow than in real life.

Girly Bits Get Indie Flow

Next we have Get Indie Flow, a blue-toned purple polish! This one also looks bang on except it is a little too pale! Shown is two coats!

Girly Bits Thump Your Melons

Here we have two coats of Thump Your Melons, a medium-toned orange! In real life this polish is a bit lighter and less yellow-toned.

Girly Bits You Spin Me Round over Girly Bits Hip Hoop Hurray!

Lastly, we have You Spin Me Round, a clear-based glitter topper with white, black and holographic microglitters! This is one coat of YSMR and a coat of top coat over Hip Hoop Hurray!!

Overall I really love this collection. I'm happy to add some neons to collection because I really don't have many! What do you guys think of these polishes? I have about five more posts to get up so I better get on them before I get more behind! Happy Tuesday guys! :)
