Black Sheep Lacquer Swatch and Review: Paint it Black, Subway to Venus, and Get off My Cloud!

I have a few more lovelies from Black Sheep Lacquer to show you all today! I promise my next post is a nail art one in case you aren't into swatches! Also, I apologize for posting only every three days as of recent. I've been studying for my physics final and now I'm in the US for a shopping trip! In three days I'll be posting the mani I've been wearing on my trip :).

Black Sheep Lacquer Paint it Black

First up is Paint it Black, a metallic charcoal polish with small purple glitters and green and gold micro-shimmer. It's anything but a plain black polish! This is just two easy coats plus a coat of top coat. I've noticed adding a coat of top coat to Black Sheep Lacquer polishes really makes them come to life! This is one of Erin's newly formulated polishes, and like with Ride the Lightening, this polish seems thick but applies so incredibly well. There are absolutely no balding issues to report no matter how much you play around with the polish! This polish was sent to me for swatches!

Black Sheep Lacquer Subway to Venus

Next up is Subway to Venus, a dark blue jelly with many different shaped, sized and coloured glitters! What you see here is three coats plus a coat of top coat. As with all Black Sheep Lacquer polishes I've tried so far, this polish dried quickly and even so, there was no need to wait for coats to fully dry before applying another coat to prevent bald spots!

OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls

Undies for the last polish in this post, two coats of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls!

Black Sheep Lacquer Get off My Cloud

Lastly, this beauty is called Get off My Cloud. It's a slightly yellow tinted base with blue, lime green and pink matte hexes in different sizes. This one glows a bright blue, and the glow effect after one coat is astonishingly strong! I swear this polish glowed all night last night (I ended up leaving this on and painting my other hand because this polish is so summery and wonderful). Each time I woke up in the night I looked at my nails and somehow they were still glowing! Believe it or not, the best picture I could get of this polish glowing is the one at the end of this post... if anyone has any tips for photographing glow in the dark things I'd really appreciate it! As you can kind of see on my pointer finger in the last picture, the glowing particles aren't super tiny (so the glow effect is dotty and not solid) which looks really freaking cool :).

Butter London Slapper and Triangle Thumbs!

So my sister's camera (the one I always use) decided to be a jerk and not capture the colour Butter London Slapper to ANY accuracy. It was amazing to compare the colour it looked on camera to the colour it looked in real life. So, here's some not-as-good-as-usual quality pictures that better capture Butter London Slapper!

Weird indoor lighting seemed to work best to take pictures with this polish... it really was a nightmare to photograph!

I taped off a small triangle on each thumb and slapped some Revlon Lemon Meringue on them! Lemon Meringue is an awesome scented pale yellow crelly polish (it smells like lemon meringue pie)!

Random Designs on a Nude Base!

For some reason gradients never work out well for me, my cuticles get stained and my clean up is never sufficient. Luckily Sarah at Chalkboard Nails will be posting a gradient tutorial soon, hers always seem to work out perfectly! Anyways, that's why I have another nail art post for you all today!

Onto the pictures and polishes used!

American Apparel Mannequin

I started off with one (yes, one!) coat of American Apparel's Mannequin. It looks nude in certain lights and these pictures, but it's quite a peachy colour in others. I think American Apparel is my favourite brand of nail polish!

The yellow I used was American Apparel's Neon Yellow, the pink was Essie Mod Square, and the red was my favourite red ever, American Apparel's Poppy!

Hidden Gradient Nails Part Two!

So I was without a doubt the laziest Bailey nail-art-wise in history last night. I think this is the first time I've ever gone to bed with one hand finished and the other hand not! I decided to post my left hand by itself yesterday, thinking I'd do my right hand the same so there would be no point in waiting. Much to my surprise, my nail art laziness stayed with me and I couldn't be bothered doing my right hand the same as my left this morning (because it requires a bunch of cleanup). I decided to do the reverse of my left hand design on my right hand. You can check out the colours I used in my previous post here!

Onto the pictures!

Thanks for reading! I apologize for not making it one post!

Hidden Gradient Nails!

I'm quite in love with the nails I have to show you all today! The only reason they ended up looking like this (and not like a gradient with a cool black and white glitter topper) is because I really wasn't feeling the gradient (shown in the third photo of this post). I have a bit of a picture tutorial for this look because I decided to take pictures along the way for once, let me know if I should do that from now on!

Anyways, onto the photos and polishes used! :)

OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls

I started with two coats of my favourite white, OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls.

I then sponged on a gradient of China Glaze Oh How Street It Is (orange), OPI Needs  Sunglasses? (yellow), and Sally Hansen Pacific Blue (blue :P)!

I finished off this look with a nail art brush and some more My Boyfriend Scales Walls!

Red Nails with Rhinestones and Random Shapes!

These are just some plain red nails I kept adding to because I thought they were too boring! The shimmery darker purple is NOPI Fanatical Fuchsia, the lighter purple is Essie Play Date, the yellow is the awesomely-formulated Color Club Almost Famous, the darker blue is China Glaze Ride The Waves, the lighter blue is Sally Hansen Pacific Blue, and last but not least, the red is Sally Hansen Madame X!

On my left hand I painted the shapes with a small striper brush, and on my right hand I just used the brushes from the bottles and a dotting tool! The heart rhinestones are from a tiny set off of Amazon!

As always, thanks for reading! :)

Star Candy Polish's Yay! Swatch and Review! =)

I have another lovely Star Candy Polish polish to show you! This one's from the adorable Ponyville Collection and it's called Yay!!

Star Candy Polish Yay!

Star Candy Polish Yay!

As you can see, Yay! is a yellow crelly polish with small light blue circular glitters, and large/medium sized holographic pink butterfly glitters (to me they look orange but apparently they're pink, I must see some colours differently than others!)! I used two coats of Julep Blake as undies for this polish because I don't wanna use up this beauty up so quickly! I did have to fish around a bit for butterfly glitters, but I'm positive that's only because of the small bottle and little brush! I would recommend getting the larger bottle of this polish for the longer brush and more of this super cute polish!

Now onto the swatches!
