Textured Matte Hearts!

Holy crap, it's me!

So I am FINALLY back into nail art and nail painting period! I didn't feel like myself leaving the house with short bare nails, and though they're not long yet, I feel so much better about them!

Today I have some textured matte nail art to share, because I wanted to find a way to incorporate textured polishes into nail art!

For this look I used a small nail art brush to paint the hearts after my base colour and layer of top coat had dried.

Onto the pictures and colours used!

Black Sheep Lacquer Swatches: Badass, Major Tom and A Letter to the New York Post!

Hello my lovelies! Today I got bored and decided to start swatching my new Black Sheep Lacquer polishes! I keep buying and getting sent them for swatching and they're all so awesome!

They all had lovely formulas as I've come to expect, so onto the swatches!

This amazing polish is called Badass and it's definitely that! I actually think this one is my favourite of the twenty-one Black Sheep Lacquer polishes I own. Badass is a green to purple duo-chrome polish with a pinch of scattered holographic glitter thrown in. It also looks like a charcoal colour at certain angles... basically it's just incredibly stunning. This polish was so generously sent to me for swatches! This is two coats!

Undies for the next polish! Two coats of American Apparel Coney Island.

This is Major Tom (a reference to David Bowie's Space Oddity, love him!), a pink jelly base with tiny silver glitter, small silver holographic bar glitter, small matte light pink hexes, medium-sized matte light pink circles and large hot pink matte hearts! As if all that wasn't cool enough, this polish also glows greenish yellow in the dark! This is just one coat over my undies!

As you can see, the glow effect isn't super strong, but that makes it easier to sleep while wearing!

Undies for the last polish of this post! Two coats of Essie Play Date (purple) and one coat of Essie Mojito Madness (green).

Finally, we have A Letter to the New York Post, a whole bunch of matte black and white glitters of all shapes and sizes in a clear base! This is just one coat over my undies!

Canada Day Nails =)

Hey all! Today I have some Canada Day nail art to show you that I've been wearing while I've been in the States :). I'll be posting a big haul post in two days because all if the nail polish down here is cheaper than in Canada and I've been going a little shopping crazy!

Onto the pictures and colour names!

The blue seen here is China Glaze For Audrey, the red is American Apparel Poppy, and the glitter is an unnamed Black Sheep Lacquer polish (sent to me for swatching)!

Notice the derpy maple leaf, aka my poor drawing skills! :P

Red Nails with Rhinestones and Random Shapes!

These are just some plain red nails I kept adding to because I thought they were too boring! The shimmery darker purple is NOPI Fanatical Fuchsia, the lighter purple is Essie Play Date, the yellow is the awesomely-formulated Color Club Almost Famous, the darker blue is China Glaze Ride The Waves, the lighter blue is Sally Hansen Pacific Blue, and last but not least, the red is Sally Hansen Madame X!

On my left hand I painted the shapes with a small striper brush, and on my right hand I just used the brushes from the bottles and a dotting tool! The heart rhinestones are from a tiny set off of Amazon!

Random Designs (with new nail polishes and tools) =D

For the base I used Julep's Jennifer (that I got in their Cupid's Mystery Box)! I then used Julep's Rose, Essie's Carry On, Essie's Bikini So Teeny, OPI's Chocolate Mousse, and Orly's Mind's Eye. :)

Bonus silly kitten (named Dmitri) who looked like he wanted his nails done too!
