Dollish Polish Toad-ally Awesome and Striping Tape!

Hi everyone! Today I have some super simple mix and match nail art to share!

I've seen this alternating glitter polish and striping tape over a creme polish mani all over the internet lately! I really like it, so I decided to try it myself!

The blue seen here is Essie Mesmerize, the striping tape is just off of eBay or Amazon, the black creme is Orly Liquid Vinyl (as always), and the super cute glitter topper is Dollish Polish Toad-ally Awesome!

It's been a while since I posted any kind of nail art on here (the last time was Halloween) so let's get on to the pictures! :)

Emily de Molly Swatches and Review: Turbulence and Oceanic Forces!

Hey everybody! Today I have swatches of the two Emily de Molly polishes I picked up in Nail Polish Canada's most recent restock!

Both of these polishes had perfect formulas, slightly thick due to the glitter which again, is just the way I like my polishes! Opacity also wasn't an issue here, all of these pictures show two coats of colour and one coat of top coat (Essie Good to Go).

Please excuse my cuticles in these pictures, I tend to neglect them when I have a midterm to study for! I'm taking a break from swatching right now to write this post and let some cuticle oil sink in :).

Onto the swatches and descriptions of the polishes!

Emily de Molly Turbulence

Turbulence (love the name) is a deep and dark blue jelly packed with many colours, sizes and shapes of glitter! Some of these glitters are even holographic, including my favourites, the diamond-shaped ones. They really make the polish and set it apart from other glitter-containing jelly polishes!

Emily de Molly Oceanic Forces

Oceanic Forces is a deep and dark teal jelly polish filled with different shapes and sizes of turquoise glitters! Many of the glitters in this beauty are also holographic, and you can never go wrong with holographic glitters! I had a hard time getting the circle glitters onto the brush (despite the fact that I reversed the bottle for at least ten minutes before both coats), so I placed most of the circle glitters you see here by fishing and searching through the bottle. Honestly, having to fish for glitters doesn't bother me at all, it can be challenging at times but that makes what makes it fun! And as you can see it's well worth the effort!

Northern Star Polish Swatches: Venus de Meow and Bronzite!

Hi everyone! Today I have swatches and reviews of two more Northern Star Polish polishes to share!

I had a relaxing Saturday swatching these babies before a lovely dinner of Indian food and marathon of Super Nintendo games, despite the fact that I should have been studying for an upcoming cell biology midterm haha! Let me know how you guys spent your Saturdays in the comments!

Onto the reviews and pictures!

Venus de Meow is a very pale purple crelly with tiny blue circles, many large silver and a few purple hexes, and medium-sized silver holographic hexes (you can see one that appears green in the bottle shot)! Formula-wise this polish was pretty thick, but it is from an older collection I believe. Nail polish thinner didn't seem to help very much at all, but the polish was still manageable! Shown here is two thick coats and no top coat!

Bronzite is a dark brown creme with tiny gold and orange circles and small silver flakies! I am seriously in love with this beauty. Guys, I think this is my new favourite polish. I know I never use caps lock here, but LOOK AT IT!!! Formula-wise this polish was a little thick, but totally useable and manageable! I find slightly thick polishes like this have the easiest consistencies to work with so there are no formula issues to report here! Shown here is two easy coats and a coat of top coat!

I can't say enough good things about this polish guys. I was going to swatch the five other polishes I picked up from Northern Star Polish and maybe even the three Contrary Polish polishes I that arrived the other day, but after one coat I base coated my other hand because I had to wear it!

Are you guys as in love with Bronzite as I am? Even though it's a whole 15mL polish and I only ever finish black or white cremes, I seriously might need to pick up a backup of this lovely! I hope you're all having a lovely and relaxing Sunday, thank you so much for reading everyone! :)

Dollish Polish Putting On The Ritz! over a Blue to Purple Essie Gradient!

Hey everyone! Today I have a quick post featuring another glitter-topped gradient mani to share!

I've recently fallen in love with gradients (probably because I've finally mastered a technique that works) so I decided to do another one yesterday! The blue is Essie Bikini So Teeny and the purple is Essie Play Date (two of my favourite polishes)! The glitter on top is Dollish Polish Putting On The Ritzzz!, a lovely black and white glitter topper without any bar glitter (unlike Hard Candy Black Tie Optional)!

Onto the pictures!

What do you guys think of gradients topped with glitter? Thank you so much for reading! :)

Northern Star Polish Tourmaline!

Hello everybody! Today I have my first ever Northern Star Polish polish to share! It is Tourmaline and it's freaking beautiful. I recently dyed the ends of my hair a touch darker and a touch bluer than this colour, so I decided to try this one out first because it matches my hair almost perfectly!

I picked up seven other polishes and four cuticle oils when I purchased this polish from her, so there will be more reviews and swatches to come! Here is the picture of everything I got that you may have seen on my Instagram! As you can see, Kristin threw in an extra little cuticle oil for free, so sweet! Sorry my phone camera sucks so bad!

The cuticle oils are amazing by the way! They contain olive oil, almond oil and grape seed oil, which soaks in even quicker than both a grape seed oil blend and an almond oil blend I have! It's amazing how quickly these soak in and how moisturizing they are, it really is a perfect recipe. These are without a doubt the best cuticle oils I have ever tried! In case you're curious, the full size bottle I bought is Pumpkin Spice, the three mini bottles are Tangerine Honeysuckle, White Chocolate and Sweet Pea, and the free one she threw in is Sir Peppy Pep! Sweet Pea is my favourite scent of the five!

By the way, what do you guys think of the insanely picture-heavy posts I've been posting lately, are they too much? Let me know in the comments! This one is pretty picture-heavy too! :P

These pictures show two thick coats of Tourmaline with and without a coat of top coat (the first four are without and the last four are with)! Tourmaline is what I would describe as a kelly green (though it looks more teal in the photos) crelly polish with tiny green circles (a yellower green than the base), tiny white and black circles, and small silver/white flakes (you can see one really well on my pinkie)! So gorgeous.

Without further ado, let's get on the photos of the beautiful Tourmaline! I included a cropped version of the first non-top-coated picture because you guys NEED to see this baby up close!

No top coat:

Dollish Polish Super Bubblicious!

Hi everyone! Today (like many other days) I have a swatch of a lovely indie polish for you!

This is Dollish Polish Super Bubblicious and it was a pleasure to work with! Many bloggers claim this polish is a three-coater, but I think I apply thicker coats when working with jelly/crelly polishes or just in general, so I got away with just two coats! I also added a coat of top coat before taking the photos, so the pictures show two (thick) coats and a coat of Essie Good To Go top coat!

I apologize for the sad, dry skin around my nails in these photos, I had two big midterms last week and my cuticles and hands were neglected!

Anyways, onto the photos!

Four New Black Sheep Lacquer Duochromes: Blue-Yea, Blink, Forbidden Fruit and Zaftig Zombie!

Hello everyone! Today I have four lovely new duochromes (or multichromes, a few of them shine four or more different colours in my eyes) from Black Sheep Lacquer to share!*

I swatched each polish at one coat over black, at one coat on their own and at two or three coats for full opacity (and no top coat)! No formula issues, these were a pleasure to work with as usual!

Based on how these polishes look over black, I think these polishes would be absolutely perfect for a galaxy mani! I think I'll do one with these polishes pretty soon!

Also, I apologize for my short nails in the Forbidden Fruit and Zaftig Zombie over black swatches! These swatches took me quite a while to do and I filed my nails down before Erin and I decided I should swatch those two over black as well! I'm so glad I did, these would all be so awesome as topcoats and look so freaking cool and pretty over black specifically!

Get ready to be bombarded with (36) pictures! I apologize in advance!
