Hey all my lovely people! Today I have another round of Mrcandiipants springy floral nail art to share!
So this probably makes me a total weirdo but I'm actually writing this on the bus right now! It's a 50 minute to an hour long bus ride to and from school so I often write up my blog posts on the way (depending on whether we get a set of seats and if it's a double-decker). Anyways haha, I'm super happy to be sitting on my butt and getting a ride home after finishing two finals today and one yesterday! I have one more next week but I'm exhausted from reviewing reviewing reviewing so I'll definitely just be relaxing tonight!
As you may have noticed, I totally didn't prepare any posts ahead of time. In fact, I actually wore a polish for a few days that I've never worn and never took proper pictures of it! It was the amazing Color Club Eternal Beauty and you can check out a picture of it on my Instagram (button in my right sidebar)! Now, onto these nails!
I've been insanely obsessed with this Mrcandiipants design lately, I even did it on my grandma's nails last weekend! So this time (on myself) I used Sally Hansen Firey Island (orange base), Zoya Kristen (muted pale blue petals), American Apparel T-shirt (white petals), American Apparel Coney Island (pale pink petals) and Essie Plumberry (dark pink dots). Like in her tutorial, I just used the bottles from the brush for this design!
What do you guys think of these nails? I'd love to know!
Well, I'm off to nap/lay down, paint my nails and eat! Those are my plans for tonight haha! I hope you're all having a relaxing evening also! Happy Wednesday! =)

Butter London Knackered Swatch and Review!
Hey everyone! Today I have a bunch of pictures of Butter London Knackered and a review to share!
I meant to get this post up Monday but after such a long day, a midterm and a busy weekend I was just exhausted! Then last night and this morning I had to finish up a computer science lab! I finally feel better today though because I slept really well last night. Our term papers were due Monday for genetics and I'm just realizing now that I don't have to worry about it anymore and I can relax a bit!
I recently discovered yet another way to procrastinate! :P Have any of you heard of Candy Box 2? It's my new obsession. I'm a bit stuck because I can beat the Bat King and the Devil no problem, but I think I have to save up a billion lollipops to buy the Sorceress' hat to progress any further. Anyways haha, onto a ton of pictures and a review!
Knackered is a GORGEOUS (and I usually refrain from using caps) multichrome polish with small silver holographic microglitter! The base is a blue-grey metallic colour but the multichrome shimmer shifts from green/turquoise to purple and pink and since there's so much of the shimmer it only looks blue-grey in very low lighting. It usually looks green or pinky purple!
Like I said above, the formula was lovely. It dried fast, self-leveled, applied like butter, and was only slightly brushstrokey. That's just what happens with multichrome polishes and it was hardly noticeable as you can see from the pictures!
Another super awesome thing about this polish is how dang holographic the tiny glitters are. This polish is so unique and I really think the holographic glitters make it so much better! All of the pictures taken on my chair (the grey background) are in indirect sunlight and the glitters still look holographic! They also look holographic in my light box (black background) and my light box is where holo things go to die! Craziness!
I know when I read something's a four-coater I think it's totally not worth the effort, but the formula on this baby is so good that you really shouldn't let that discourage you! You could also use three thicker coats and get the same opacity!
My dad even thought this polish was freaking awesome, everyone I showed it to did in fact. I wore this for four days and it did chip a little, but I think that was because my actual nail got a little chip in it.
Overall I think this is a beautiful polish that is totally worth the money (17 dollars plus tax here in Canada) and a perfect present for anyone into nails!
Thank you so much for having a look everyone, I'd love to hear what you think of this polish in the comments! I'll try to prepare some posts for the next two weeks because finals are about to start and I'll be busy again! Happy Wednesday everyone! =D

It is a bit of a sheer polish so I ended up applying four thin coats (and a coat of top coat) for the opacity you see here. I know that sounds pretty darn sheer and like it would be a pain to apply, but the formula is so lovely and it's so fast-drying that it seemed like applying a normal two or three coat polish. I absolutely love Butter London polishes and I love their brushes!

MrCandiipants Spring Floral Nail Art!
Hey everyone! Today I have a springy floral Mrcandiipants design to share!
I finally got caught up on posting everywhere and replying to everyone's comments, it seems I always fall behind with that and I love the feeling of being caught up! Today I have a short and sweet post for you because the boyfriend and I are off school in an hour and we'll be hanging out with his mom all evening! I don't know if she'll want to be out and about or at her apartment so I'm getting this post up now while I know I can! She's such a lovely lady and she's so hilarious, I miss her and I can't wait to see her! Also, my mom told me that a friend of mine I see nowhere near often enough reads my blog, so hi Hannah if you're reading! I miss you too!
As I said above, this design is one by MrCandiipants and here is a link to the video tutorial! I want to try tons more floral designs using just the bottles from the brush and she has a lot of tutorials for those!
The base I used here is two coats of American Apparel T-shirt and a coat of top coat! I've been madly in love with Butter London polishes lately and the Butter London colours I used here are Slapper (bright teal), Trout Pout (bright pinky coral) and Wellies (bright chartreuse crelly). The other polishes I used here are American Apparel Dance (peachy petal colour) and Nicole by OPI All Kendall-ed Up (pink dot colour)!
Thanks so much for having a look everyone! I'll have a swatch and review of a crazy multichrome holographic polish called Butter London Knackered up in a few days! Happy Friday! :)

Flower Fragment/Petal Nail Art!
Hey everyone! Today I have some flower petal/flower fragment nail art to share!
School is getting close to being over so I'm happy to report I only have a few assignments/labs and one midterm left to do! I'm super proud of myself for submitting my genetics paper early for edits, and tomorrow I'll be submitting it one more time for a final edit. I'm so glad that our teacher offered to do that for us, especially more than once! So tonight I'll be adding to my paper and taking some of his suggestions into consideration and finishing it up! Can you tell my life has been dominated by school lately and I have nothing remotely interesting to talk about? ;) Onto the nails!
I didn't manage to get a picture of the base here on its own, as there was already tip-wear from a few days of wear by the time I thought about photographing it (see? bad blogger lately). Instead, I decided to throw some nail art on top! I was originally going for MrCandiipants' most famous floral design (video tutorial here), but I ended up liking the look of my nails part way through. I especially love the colour combo, I think these three colours look so awesome together!
The polishes I used here are all by Nicole by OPI, Back to Reality... TV (the purpley grey base with pink shimmer), Strike a Pose (coral) and "Baby" Blue (blue)! I used a brush I recently received in a three-piece set from Born Pretty Store to review for the petals/lines, which I'll have a proper review up of soon!
I'm planning to actually do the famous MrCandiipants design tonight while I'm working on my term paper, with a fresh white base and just the bottles from the brush (like in her tutorial, but with a pure white base)! Does anyone else ever forget that OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls isn't white? Real white jumps kind of jumps out at you, but I think I trained my eyes/brain to think of MBSW as white. Anyway, today I'm going to use a real white for the base!
Thank you so much for reading everyone! I hope positive more interesting things are happening in your guys' lives! Happy Tuesday! =)

I've also chopped off my nails again, do any of you think it's unprofessional for my nails to slowly get longer on my blog and then suddenly go back to nubbins? It's clearly inconsistent, but is it something you think I should change? Let me know! My nails just grow so darn fast! :P

Butter London Wellies Swatch & Review!
Hey everyone! Today I have a swatch of Butter London Wellies to share!
As you may have noticed, I've been a very bad blogger lately and I'm really sorry for that! I almost wrote my entire term paper for genetics last weekend and then had two midterms last week, so I've been pretty busy! Things will slow down over the next two weeks but then BAM, it's finals time. I'll try to prepare some posts ahead of time for finals weeks like I did last semester so I don't go missing for a week or two!
I also just got a new Macbook last night and I'm so happy about it! It's a 13'' Macbook Pro and it has 500 gigs of storage which is the main reason I got it. My old 11'' Macbook Air was half the weight (which I might miss when I'm carrying this thing around at school) but it only had 60 gigs of storage. That is totally not enough for a nail blogger! I only ever had about a gig of free space left and I was constantly having to move nail pictures onto my external hard drive. I couldn't even get updates because it was so full! It's also really cool because my old computer is perfect for my non-nail-blogger sister, so now she has an awesome little laptop! Anyways, onto the nails!
About a week ago I posted a couple of pictures of this lovely polish on Instagram and I'm just now blogging about it! Wellies is a chartreuse crelly that is a tiny bit streaky even after three coats. I loved the colour and other than the streakiness the formula was awesome! I really really like this polish!
What you see here is three coats and a coat of top coat! I did each coat closer together than I usually do and that didn't cause any bubbling, so it seemed to dry really fast!
I did end up doing some nail art on top of this, but I went in without a plan and ended up really disliking it. You can see a picture of it on my Instagram if you're curious!
Thank you so much for reading everyone! I'd love to know what you think of this colour in the comments! Happy Saturday! =)

Revlon French Roast Swatch & Review!
Hey everyone! Today I have a gorgeous brown creme with shimmer to share!
I apologize for not posting so often lately, we have three weeks left of school so I have a bunch of stuff to due including a few more midterms. I am feeling better about school lately, and I now think I'll be able to survive the next few weeks haha! Onto the polish!
If you follow me on Instagram (@partialtopolish), then you know I scored big at a dollar store a few weeks ago. This was one of the polishes I picked up (along with 11 others :P) that day! Revlon French Roast is a dark and warm brown creme polish with orange, pink and blue shimmer. This polish strikes me as very unique release for a non-indie brand, and I find it quite pretty!
The formula was very easy to work with, nice and thick for easy control. It dried very fast and only needed two coats to reach opacity. What you see here is two coats and a coat of top coat!
I did find that I got tip-wear a lot quicker than I usually do while wearing this polish, but I change my polish pretty often and it didn't go so far as to chip!
Overall I think this is a really pretty polish, especially to a brown lover like me! And for two dollars, how could I have realistically said no? :P
Thank you so much for reading everyone! I'm going to a play and a dinner tonight before picking up my little sister from the airport and I can't wait to see her! I've been on plenty of trips on my own but this was her first trip without her family so I'm excited to hear how it was and have her home! What are your guys' plans for the evening? Happy Friday! =)

Deborah Lippmann Marnie & Snake Nail Art with the Deborah Lippmann Girls Collection!
Yo yo yo! Today I have some nail art to share featuring the Deborah Lippmann Girls Collection!
Tonight's post will be a quick one because I still have homework to do and it's just about bed time :P. I'm still feeling very overwhelmed with school so I need to do as much homework as possible to de-stress.
Here is a quick swatch of Deborah Lippmann Marnie, a light pink crelly which is pinker (i.e. a darker pink) than I was able to capture on any camera. It was a bit streaky and a three-coater but I'm so in love with the brush and I've wanted to try a Deborah Lippmann for so long that I have no complaints!
Now for the nail art! I used the other three polishes from the Girls collection for these snake nails; Jessa (the dark red crelly), Hannah (the dusty green creme) and Shoshanna (the light purple creme with shimmer). All dried fast and were super easy to work with!
Sorry about how brief this post was, I need to get my butt in gear with my term paper and homework before it's the last week of school! :P What do you guys think of these nails? I'd love to know! Happy Monday!

B Squared Lacquer All Aboard Swatch & Review plus a Mrcandiipants Fern Design!
Hey everyone! Today I have a lovely teal scattered holographic polish and some fern/leaf nail art to share!
The end of the semester is really sneaking up on me so I think on the nights I don't have homework (like tonight) I really have to get my butt in gear and work on all of my genetics write-ups! I'm feeling very excited for the semester to end because school has been really overwhelming lately. Anyways, let's get on to the lovely polish to take my mind off things!
The formula on this polish was an absolute breeze to work with, slightly thick allowing for lots of control and no cuticle-flooding! It appeared to not self level right after I applied it, but rest assured it does while it dries! This polish really impressed me and I'm really excited to try the other polishes I received in the same giveaway!
I also included some pictures in natural light with the flash on to show off the holographic sparkle! You can also see how freaking shiny this polish dries on its own here! This baby is just too pretty guys.
And now we have the nail art! I used an Orly Instant Artist striper polish in the colour Sky Blue for the ferns! This nail art is a MrCandiipants original design and you can watch her Youtube tutorial for these here! The striper uses water-based paint (which I assume means acrylic paint) so it doesn't dry up on the brush or anything lame like that. It was super easy to work with and I love the colour of it next to All Aboard!
After the nail art dried I applied one quick coat of the only top coat I ever use, Essie Good to Go! This mani looks super awesome (to me at least) and it hardly took any time at all! It reminds me of tacky tourist shirts so naturally I love it!
What do you guys think of All Aboard or this nail art? I'd love to hear in the comments!
Thank you so much for reading everyone! I've finally caught up in posting so I can't tell you what I'll be posting next because I have no idea! Anyways, happy Thursday and I'll talk to you soon! =)

B Squared Lacquer All Aboard is a turquoise blue/light tealish blue crelly polish with a scattered holographic effect. This is polish is one of my favourite colours so I absolutely love the look of it! There is also a perfect amount of holo pigment that it doesn't look super silver indoors, meaning it looks awesome inside or outside!

You can see how this polish self-leveled perfectly here because I didn't use any top coat for these photos! What you see here is three easy coats and no top coat. This polish also dried really fast and it's 3-free! Love it!
