Black Sheep Lacquer's Badass (new version) and Scatter Heart!

Hey-lo everyone! Today I have two more Black Sheep Lacquer polishes to share with you all!

One of them is a new version of the popular Badass (swatched here by me), a lovely green, blue and grey multichrome! The other is a lovely white crelly polish with red hearts and gold squares called Scatter Heart!

Like with my last post I showed both polishes at one coat (so you guys can see how they look) and then added more coats if I wanted a bit more opacity! I also didn't apply a top coat in any of the pictures, so this is exactly what the polishes look like on their own!

Are you getting tired of me saying BSL polishes have amazing formulas? Well I'm sorry, but they do!

Onto the pictures!

American Apparel Angeline!

Hello everyone! Today I have a super quick swatch of American Apparel Angeline for you guys!

This is my one week of this semester with two midterms in it so I really didn't have time to do a mani any more complicated than this! This is just one coat of Angeline and a coat of top coat (Essie Good to Go still!).

I bought this polish for nail art mostly, because pink is the one colour I don't really like on myself. I don't love this mani but maybe I'll get used to it haha! This pink had a lovely formula mind you, it's almost a one-coater and I'm wearing it at one coat (because I couldn't justify doing another whole coat of polish when I should be studying and don't love the colour)! :P I do, however, feel kind of sexy with long and round dark pink nails!

Anyways, onto the pictures!

Thanks for reading everyone! The lovely Erin of Black Sheep Lacquer has sent some polishes my way for swatches, so the next post you see from me will feature more amazing Black Sheep Lacquer polishes! Good luck on your midterms if you have any coming up! :)

Plum Flakie Mani: Shiny and Matte!

Hey everyone! I'm sorry for not posting for a few more days than usual, I have a night lab on Thursday nights and I got busy Friday, so I couldn't repaint my nails until today! Anyway, today I have some shiny and matte flakie nails to share!

For this mani I started off with two coats of Essie Carry On, a lovely crelly plummy brown polish! It's absolutely perfect for fall and winter if you're into matching your nails to the seasons! I feel like I say this about every polish I've talked about lately, but this beauty could be a one-coater if you're careful!

I then went in with a gorgeous flakie top coat, Color Club Covered In Diamonds. Covered In Diamonds is definitely more my kind of flakie polish than Essie Shine Of The Times, though I do own and love both! I've always been more of a cool colour than warm colour girl, what can I say?

After that, I went in with Julep Matte Top Coat, making sure to go even closer to the cuticle than the polish already there did (so I didn't get that glossy-millimetre-right-at-the-cuticle thing that often happens with matte topcoats).

Onto the pictures!

What do you guys think, shiny or matte? Let me know in the comments!

Thanks so much for reading everyone! Hope you're having a lovely weekend, we're having a turkey dinner tonight just for fun and I can't wait! :)

More Black Sheep Lacquer Swatches: Punk Rock Penny, Orange Crush, Under the Bridge, Paradise City, and First Polish on the Moon!

Hey everybody! Today I got some Black Sheep Lacquer polishes in the mail to swatch! I also got some Hex Nail Jewelry that I'll be posting about soon!

I have a bunch of things on their way to me (mostly polish-related items) from before I started my no-buy month that I'm really excited about! I bought some glitters from YouMix a week or so ago and I'm really excited to do some individually placed glitter manis with them! I'm most excited that my Jeffrey Campbell Litas arrived though! I've started posting OOTDs on my Instagram so if you're interested go ahead and follow me here!

Anyways, all of these polishes had lovely unproblematic formulas, so onto the swatches!

I reswatched this one because the pictures I got of it last time weren't that good, and because the author of Blueberry Nails wanted to know how it'd look without a white base!

Zoya Miranda Swatches and Review!

Hey everybody! Today I have a swatch and review of Zoya Miranda for you all!

I've decided my relationship with textured polishes is a love-hate one only because they're so hard to use in nail art! I'll probably be taking this off soon and doing some cutesy nails with some of my new Hex Nail Jewelry charms so stay tuned!

I also have four new Black Sheep Lacquer polishes all swatched for you and one old one I decided to reswatch for the author of Blueberry Nails. I used it (First Polish on the Moon) without a white base this time to see how it looked and behaved! Once Erin names the last polish I swatched I'll be posting all of the swatches for you lovely people!

Onto the swatches and review!

Zoya Miranda

Miranda- two coats!

This polish had a wonderful formula, and since the textured parts of this polish are of finer grit than other textured polishes, it was almost like applying a normal micro-glitter polish! One day I really want to try layering a new textured matte polish I picked up, OPI Solitaire, over darker textured matte polishes like Miranda for a lighter look! Having a light textured matte polish in your arsenal basically doubles the number of textured matte polishes you have, because you can easily make a paler version of any colour!

Speckled Sunset Gradient Egg Nails featuring China Glaze Fancy Pants!

Hello everyone! Today I have a swatch of China Glaze Fancy Pants and some speckled-egg-looking gradient nail art to share!

I'll be swatching four more Black Sheep Lacquer polishes tomorrow night for all you lovely people and for Erin's shop!

Speaking of shopping, I broke my no buy yesterday :(. I had this feeling yesterday morning that I would find something perfect and have to buy it and I did! It's a lovely black maxi skirt that puffs out a lot when you spin (it has a lot of fabric). It dips down lower in places at the bottom so it isn't just cut straight across which I love! I'll just pop a picture of it down below because I'm so in love with it! It looks a bit gothic to me which I really like because I don't usually dress that way!

Onto the nails!

China Glaze Fancy Pants

This is two coats of Fancy Pants plus top coat. A coat of top coat really brings this polish to life and lets you see the gorgeous pink shimmer!

China Glaze Fancy Pants

I was going for a gradient leopard print today, but I decided to stop here because I love the look of these! I also skipped top coating this because I liked the fact that the little shapes are slightly raised! The colours I used for this pattern were: Essie Tart Deco (orange), China Glaze Dance Baby (pink, already coming in handy for nail art!) and Essie Play Date (purple).

Thanks so much for taking a look everyone! :)

Abstract Watercolour Flower Nails!

Hey there friends! It's about one in the morning where I live and I just finished painting my nails and taking pictures of them! Today I have nails that look a bit floral in real life (the yellow and orange bits look like flowers) but not so much in these pictures. I also took pictures of OPI My Vampire is Buff on its own before I jazzed my nails up!

I'll have more Black Sheep Lacquer swatches for you all very soon! Erin's made at least a few new polishes and I'm really excited to see and swatch them!

Also, I said in my last post that I'd do some nails to match an outfit next and I didn't end up doing them today. I'll try to next time I paint my nails, I just have to find a cool patterned shirt in one of my shirt buckets (I organize my clothes strangely)! I apologize for the remnants of my nails that I filed off today appearing in the photos! I didn't manage to get that stubborn thin layer of nail that doesn't file off off of every nail I guess!

Without further ado, onto the pictures!

OPI My Vampire is Buff

This is two coats of My Vampire is Buff which isn't enough coats for this polish to be opaque unfortunately. My light box setup is very forgiving because the two coats look opaque enough in these pictures! I didn't bother with a third coat because I knew I'd be covering my base with some nail art. I also added a coat of my usual top coat (Essie Good to Go) before taking these pictures, because I didn't want the polish thinned with acetone to remove my base colour!

OPI My Vampire is Buff

Here is my first attempt at watercolour nail art! I followed MrCandiipants' tutorial for this design, you should check her out if you never have because she's hilarious and so creative! I didn't thin out the polishes enough, but I decided I didn't mind the stripey look and kept adding colours! Speaking of which, the polishes I used were: American Apparel Mannequin (peach), OPI Fiercely Fiona (a super unique shade of yellow, absolutely love it!), and China Glaze Bahamian Escape (blue)!

My elusive right hand!

Thanks for having a look everyone! :)
